Halloween and Bonfire night is upon us. Toffee apples are really popular with children but they are loaded with sugar. This is a healthier alternative for your children to get their teeth into.

Grab some strong twigs from the tree and push these as far into the centre of apple as you can, making sure it is strong and secure enough to hold the apple.

Prepare your chosen toppings - melted chocolate, chopped nuts, coconut etc

Simply dip your apple into melted dark chocolate and sprinkle while still wet with chopped nuts.

For a clean white coconut finish, you can coat with sugar-free icing before sprinkling with coconut.
